Red Plum Blossom Glass Flower Arrangement with LED

Plum blossom is the flower that opens in the cold — the one that blooms before winter is even finished, quietly insisting that spring is on its way. Around the studio, this one is the Red Plum Blossom.

Its five-petal flowers and rounded buds are glass, running from deep red to translucent amber where the light catches them, each centre holding a cluster of gold stamens with a small spark at its heart. The branches are slender and dark, rising unevenly the way a real plum branch does, set in a black ceramic vase with a softly tapered shape.

For centuries the plum blossom has stood for resilience and quiet hope — beauty that holds on through the hard season, and comes back. A steady thing to keep near, or to give someone who's weathering something.

Two 50 cm warm LED strips come with it, to wrap and thread through the branches however you like — small points of light scattered among the blossoms after dark, a soft glow rather than a room light.

No water, no wilting — it holds its red, and its meaning, for years. And because it's made by hand, no two are ever exactly the same.
